We've hired Juan / Calif Construction several times for small projects and large. He built an ADU in our backyard and a full kitchen remodel and we've been very happy with the results each time. Every project has come in on time and on budget.

I love the fact that Juan is a creative problem solver. Whenever we'd find a surprise -- and whenever you go down to the studs and rip up the floor you'll find plenty of surprises -- Juan and crew would figure out a way to solve the problem without busting the budget.

When we need to fix a sagging porch we got several estimates. Juan said that we could fix it the way the other contractors suggested; it would work fine. But he suggested another way and saved us some $$$.

Juan and his crew do wonderful work, paying attention to the small details and taking great care in their craft.

I highly recommend Calif Construction Services. Juan was willing to spend the time listening to what I needed to have done and he was also very good at making suggestions that ultimately gave wonderful results. Juan was flexible in making changes as needed as the work progressed.
Juan always responded quickly to any questions using email, phone calls, and texts. The crew arrived every day on time and cleaned up at the end of each day.
There were several large projects (deck rebuilding, porch repair, foundation work, and whole house painting) that were well coordinated leading to all of the work being completed simultaneously and in the original estimated timeframe.
I am very pleased with all of the work and would use this company again.

Juan Diaz, owner and operator of Calif Construction, has successfully competed 13 separate projects since August 2021. An example of some of the construction efforts have included: (a) over one thousand lineal feet of fencing to including wooden and welded metal materials with gates, (b) over 600 lineal feet of concrete sidewalk, (c) an expansive hillside retaining wall made of interlocking blocks, (d) concrete and brick stairways with handrails, (e) a major concrete planter box, (f) a wooden garbage/recycle bin surround, (g) corrected a drainage problem at the base of a critical existing wood retaining wall, (h) traced a water leak in the front porch and fixed the problem, (i) and built a wooden brace to support a low hanging 200 year old Oak tree branch.

Juan is reliable, hard working, and basically a good person. His prices are reasonable, fair, and competitive. He has a consistent, well mannered, small crew one can count on. I would not hesitate to recommend his services.
