My wife and I embarked on an ambitious renovation to our home and needed a concrete contractor to pour a new pad footing and slab in our new kitchen/dining room. As owner/builders, we were looking for competent and trustworthy contractors to work on our home. We initially found Tom through yelp and received a competitively priced bid from him for the work. We also obtained 2 other bids.

Meanwhile, our demo crew got overly aggressive and nearly tore down our existing masonry fireplace and chimney stack. We called Tom and he came to our rescue. He sent his mason out to completely rebuild our fireplace and chimney stack. It was a very delicate and difficult job, but the results and quality of his work were top notch. There was no question at that point that we would hire Tom for the footing and slab work. When we notified the other contractors who we had obtained bids from that we we’re going with Tom, they affirmed that he was one of the best in their industry, further confirming we had made the right decision.

Every member of his crew is professional, does excellent work, and brings a great attitude to the job site. Tom personally overseas his crew very closely and would regularly check on the progress and answer any questions we had. Tom is also very responsive and very organized.

He also helped us in recommending some other tradesmen that we have been very pleased with. All of them have nothing but the best to say about Tom and this speaks to the quality of his work, how he treats other contractors, and his character as a person and business owner.

In our experience (this isn’t our first major home renovation) you can always find contractors to do the work, but it is rare to find a contractor of Tom’s caliber. Tom takes great pride in doing things the right way and this shines through in his work product and, most of all, in how he goes about running his business. He has gained the respect of those in his field and many other trades for obvious reason. He has gone the extra mile at every turn. We look forward to working with Tom on future projects and would recommend him in a heartbeat!

Tom and his crew were great to work with! Tom was incredibly knowledgeable and gave me a bunch of tips that expanded on my vision of my new backyard. His crew were polite and respectful and kept my yard as clean as possible considering the amount of construction they had going on. Tom Hohman proved to be exactly what I needed and at just the right price. Their team replaced some old (used) bricks in my atrium and really did an excellent job. Others I contacted did not indicate they could tackle the job, but these guys did, got it done it a timely manner and the results are great. Trust me, it was a great relief. I recommend them totally and sincerely.
