Prices seem to be fair. But Dave has got too argumentative and crotchety, making everything your fault without listening to your issues. He spoke on about how I hadn't returned his calls. Well it had been less than 24 hrs since I was the one who called A.C. Propane. I didn't speak to a person, so I left a message. Had to leave for the day and wasn't home until 10:00 pm to see his message that he left me. The next morning, very early, I had important business to attend to at a neighbors before they leave for work. Upon getting home, it was still early and as I am just getting settled, I see that Dave had left two more messages.

I look out and his worker is at my tank. I go outside to talk to him. This is when his worker spoke about seeing if he can start looking up and ordering parts, delays over the holiday, cost of sending a service tech, etc. Then it might be awhile to get my tank filled.

The day prior, after leaving my message for AC, I was possibly looking for a live person to ask, who may be able to offer any suggestions. So I called another company and briefly discussed it. Now, this other company unexpectedly showed up, but I didn't see a problem. This all happened in the course of less than 24 hrs. AC's worker was always nice, but up and left them to deal with it. So Ok, the new outfit discovers that a part had been placed wrong for some reason causing my gauge to not register. (The only people who have been around my tank, and touching it, would be AC).

it only takes him a couple of minutes, and he fixes the problem. This saved my dealing with an unnecessary tank repair, costs in parts, labor, delay in filling the tank, etc. He asks me if I want them to fill it and says that they could do it today. I told him to hold off, as I always had AC fill my tank prior. He offered a fair price before leaving. Now, I call A.C. Propane and get a recording. I leave a message. I wait. I call again. Eventually I get someone who answers the phone. I explain that my tank is now fixed and I'm interested in a fill, but wanted to know the price. She said that she can't get ahold of her driver, bad reception, that If he already left, he probably won't be back and it might take several days to schedule delivery, etc. So I told her to please call me immediately if she got ahold of her driver. I also asked about the price and she hung up on me.

A lot of time passes, then, the other company called me and it was their driver. He said he happened to be filling a neighbors tank, located right on my street, and asks me, if I wished for him to fill mine. Now I didn't have to guess, he would fill my tank, and everything would be up and running that day. I said for him to go ahead, as AC hadn't called me back to say that, or if, they talked to their driver, and it had been some long while.

Now, I called AC, out of courtesy, just to let them know that I didn't want a refill. Again, I call and I call. Eventually Dave answers. He talked as if he'd done me so many favor over the past 11years, that I had no business shopping around, that all I was doing was wasting everybody's time, going behind their back calling all these company's, and my only concern was getting propane a few cents cheaper. He seemed angry that I had called earlier to find his price on propane, even though his secretary, earlier, hung up on me when I asked. He said his driver was halfway to my house, which I find suspicious. When I was finally able to get a word in, I tried reminding him, how I had asked the girl who worked there, to, please, immediately call me if she could get ahold of her driver, lots of time had expired, and that she said connections were bad. To no avail. Never had the chance to explain that she was supposed to get ahold of the driver, and if she did, then call to let me know, then decide. She eventually happened to say that "He just left to go there". So if he just left, how could he be halfway? Or is she lying? He was very quarrelsome, repeating that he left all these messages and I hadn't returned any of his calls.

The refill guy charged me over $4 a gallon. 220 gallon tank cost over $900 to fill. Come to find out, no one is charging that amount. Driver is a scammer. Throws out high numbers to unsuspecting customers.

He also left a valve open. Leaked out 200 gallons in less than two months and I am empty again.

I would highly not recommend this company. Plenty of other propane providers in the area. Stay far away!!!!!

Not sure why they have such low stars, we have been using them for 3 years and they have been amazing! If I call for refill- they are there same day or within 3, just called about a leaky gauge and they charged me $69 to fix! Give them a try and review them! Happy Customer over here in Forest Falls, CA

Customer service is way above and beyond! Owner has gone beyond! Bringing us tanks to help with power outage. Ignore the low ratings and see for yourself!!

A C Propane is a great company to do business with. For example, I called this Wednesday to order propane & got delivery next day!!! Unreal!! Very friendly people who work for them in the office & their driver is one of the best. If u don't already have A C Propane I would switch to them, you won't regret it!!!

Short answer - left they left the valve open at refill, and made me pay for them to come back an close it.

AC propane has been our chosen provider for the past 2 years. After our recent refill we noticed what appeared to be a slight leak. I called to ask them to take a look. A service call for a leak and pressure check is $130. Their technician found the bleed valve still slightly open, and noted that the valve was opened at time of refill and is hand tightened closed, but due to the age of our valves would need to be wrench tightened closed. He also, noted the valves would need to be replaced in the next 1-2yrs. I called and was informed we would still be charged in full for a valve they failed to close at refill.

Obviously, if I'd known what to close I'd have done it myself, but I didn't and I since they left it open I feel it was their responsibility as part of the service of the refill.

Short answer, AC Propane filled our tank and didn't properly close the valve. Prompting me to request and pay for a service for an issue AC Propane created.

You technician may have done a full system check, but it wasn't needed. All that was needed was a closed valve that AC Propane left open. The valve is old, but per the technician and your customer service replacement wouldn't be needed for 1-2yrs, not now as you've stated. I've already spoken with your customer service, and you have my contact should you need to reach to a resolution.

Had a problem with my bill... Owner called in a timely fashion and personally resolved my issue. It was a simple clerical error. We have always had the same driver and he is polite and respectful. Delivery is usually in 3-5 days which is standard for this industry. Would have give 4.5 stars, however since I can't, I would opt up instead. They have only once had to reschedule for for a fill the following day, but I was first on the list that morning. Overall, better than my previous supplier, who I won't name. Would recommend.

I am unwilling to sign contracts with companies & ACPropane cared enough to work with me and let me utilize their company in a way I felt comfortable. I really like their service and their employees that I’ve had contact with.
My tank meter stopped working at 50% & of course we didn’t find out until it was @ 0% and the house was freezing. They came out and fixed the meter and filled it up, same day service! Awesome company!
