Just came up from Atlanta to work the next 41 days in the Kenai school system. Teachers and kids alike keep telling us we need to go to the Solditna Transfer station to see the eagles. Stopped by there today Feb. 4th and encountered a very rude indivual who told us we weren’t allowed to view the birds without dropping off trash. If I was thinking faster I could have told him I had a gum wrapper to get rid of. I can understand if rules don’t allow drive bys but this guy was just plain nasty. I’m guessing he doesn’t like his job.

In all reality, and honesty being an old peninsula resident, they are the best! I take my clean used motor oil, hydraulic fluid and such. They burn it in the shop. Please just make it is clean, no leaves or trash! They are just so great people!

Simply the best landfill there is!! I don't know why we need reviews of a landfill but this place is kind of a dump, It's definitely not lacking the aroma of a sewage plant and if you wanna drive-through a flock of birds it's the place to go! Located uphill of a very dirty nasty Lake it sure to provide enjoyment to those who enjoy throwing things away for free I might add the front gate people are never without jokes and always provide friendly service what more could you ask for?

Google map location and directions are not correct. Address appears to be right but directions take you to a place 6 miles round trip out of your way. People at office claim they have reported this to Google but no avail.

20 July update. We reported to Google and it was fixed in 24 hours. Staff at CPL should take note the Google is responsive if provided right information
