It's been a while since I have purchased supplies here. I was pretty disappointed with how poor the customer service was. People were busy, I get it, but after 4 people are standing waiting for someone to acknowledge us was a bit poor. Couple of guys just looked at us and didn't say anything, like they could care less. Once I got a person to help me I asked about a part and got a short and curt answer like he didn't want to be bothered. His reply: "No, don't carry that. Probably have to replace the whole thing". The guys there used to recommend a solution or at least offer an alternative. The other part I brought in so they could measure and cut like they did last time. Same guy, it's 3 feet $29.95. He cuts 3 feet, it's not even the same length as the piece I brought to measure. Not a big deal, I can cut myself, but I asked do you charge by the foot? No answer, just hands me the piece that's 6 inches too long and rings it up. All the helpful knowledgable guys must have retired or got tired of working there if that's how they run the business. They do carry most of the plumbing supplies that a Home Depot won't have and I like supporting small businesses.
Know what you want and hopefully they carry it, otherwise don't expect any help.
Follow up: Well, here's the icing on the cake, I just tried to place the "cut" piece onto the shower door and it's the wrong size channel slot.
"No refunds or exchanges on cut materials" on the receipt.
Next Day Follow up: Called and explained that piece was wrong size. Was told I could bring it back and they would look at it. Was sort of expecting to hear the no exchange policy, but they took the piece back and cut me the correct piece. They were very busy again today, but the atmosphere was very different. Yesterday was probably an off day, we all have those. I appreciate the customer service. BJ has been my go to for plumbing supplies for 20 years.

The only place around that had the gas control valve I needed for replacement in my gas water heater. They also determined that I was eligible for a warranty claim and showed me how to start it online while I was there. Now the part is free and my water heater is fixed.

My wife an I called to get a part set aside for us for our water heater. This place was very intimate. Cool products and 4 people working. We were excited to support this business and we saw a vanity that we wanted to buy an my wife just got her bonus see and extra 2 grand was convenient to spend here.

When we got to the counter a Spanish guy cleaned up the counter put up Allen wrenches, and documents. He spend about 3 minutes avoiding us. At the counter he can see us. Plus I have a few thousand in cash in my hand ready to buy what we needed. He says nothing like we are invisible.

I eventually say hey I just want you to pick up a part. The guy in chair does not say anything and just ignores us to.

After a customer leaves an elder man possibly the owner comes over. He lets me know all parts are final. I had other items at the counter but at this point I cannot support terrible service. I just overpaid for the part and left.

It’s crazy how we were going to drop cash on a regular 36IN vanity and other items but they just ruined the experience.

I had to return!!!! Misinformation of the part was not given…

After arriving home, I realized the part didn't fit, so I called the shop to inquire about exchanging it for the correct one. The person on the phone, presumably the owner or an elderly man, requested the serial number. I provided it, and he explained that the part had been modified, leaving purchasing the full burner as my only option. However, I asked if I could return or exchange the unused part and pay the difference, to which he agreed, despite not mentioning such exchanges were typically done. I drove back to the store, where an older Spanish male handed me the part. Before leaving, I inspected it and noticed it could work if modified or moved. I gave the staff the option to take more of my money, to which the Caucasian owner responded with "it's up to you." I thanked them for their time and consideration, then continued repairing the water heater at home. Thirty minutes later, I received a call asking if I had fixed the water heater and why I had posted a partially untrue review on Google Maps. The elderly owner accused me of making him seem mean and claimed he had gone beyond policy to allow the exchange of the unused part. I explained that discussing employee performance and its impact on the business's revenue is essential. Despite my efforts to clarify the situation, the owner failed to grasp the importance of coaching employees and the rudeness of calling a customer suspected of writing a negative review. I emphasized that customer treatment should not be contingent on appearance, and such behavior would deter me from returning. Ultimately, their call solidified my decision never to patronize the store again, as it showcased a disregard for customer concerns and an inability to address internal issues.
