Fantastic products and service!

My home in rural Princeton, IA is prone to power outages, so I contacted Century Electric for a whole house generator. The process for selecting and installing the right generator can be a daunting task, but Aaron did an excellent job of walking me through the process, start to finish, and Kala was exceptional in scheduling and support. My Kohler generator is installed and just waiting to handle the load in the event of emergencies.

I had Century Electric and Solar install my solar system in spring of 2018. The system is almost a year old and has been 100% trouble free. They helped me with all of the interconnect agreements with my utility company. They also helped with applying for the government incentive paperwork. There is a lot more to going solar than just purchasing the equipment and having it installed. I am glad to have had them help me through the "maze" on this project.

The system was installed on the roof of a barn on my farm, and I just love it. I have an app on my phone that will show me how much power is currently being generated. I can also have it show me power production by the week, the month, or the year. I have 60 panels up on the roof and love not getting a bill from the electric company. It is awesome to know that my whole farm and house is being powered and heated/cooled (geothermal system) by the sun. We have a 100% electric farm (no propane or natural gas).

I can see a day that I might want to add more panels to this system as it seems we are moving to a more electric world, and might need more to power our future vehicles. When that happens, I will definitely have them do the work.

Century Electric installed a 19.1k system on my property. They worked with me to get a system size I was comfortable with in size and price, which was the lowest bid of all the companies I talked to. Once all the paperwork and agreements with the power company were approved, Century had my equipment sitting in the yard ready to be installed. They did a good job of installing, never left a mess. They assisted with filling out the paperwork for Illinois SREC program. The system is running great, I love to see my meter running backwards. The system came online in October and has saved me hundreds of dollars on electricity compared to a year ago. A big thanks to all at Century Electric.

In 2018, I attended the Home Show at QCCA and visited the Century Electric booth and others, to discuss solar panels. After reviewing my utility bills for the past year Aaron scheduled a home visit in mid Feb to explain his configuration to maximize the solar panel efficiency. My roof has an easterly and westerly exposure so it's less effective than a southern location. After the review, I accepted the 24 panel design with a down payment.
The installation was scheduled for mid Mar, 2018, but Mother Nature was not cooperative. The panels were finally installed in mid Apr. As I eagerly awaited the various inspections, required after installation, the days turned into weeks. The system was finally activated on May 31st. The software program is amazing since it provides numerous reports including each panels data, as well as, daily, weekly, and month to date system performance. I anticipate that by the end of the first 12 month period of operation the system will have produced enough electricity to match my annual consumption. It was also nice to receive a Residential Energy Credit when filing my taxes. Century Electric also helped complete the paperwork for the State of Illinois.
In addition, I would like to express my appreciation to Kelsea for all the assistance she provided during the and after the project.

We recently moved to Davenport and built a new home. Century Electric was the electrical contractor. We were very pleased starting with the rough in walk thru with Nick and our contractor. We had a couple of small issues which were addressed immediately, Nick did the work and we were very pleased. We added a few things we paid for and were treated very fairly.having been a manager for over 30 years in building material distribution I believe I’m a fair judge. I would recommend Century and especially Nick.

After talking to a friend who had solar installed by Century we called and had them come out. In the meantime we had 3 other companies come out and gave them the same information as we did Century, to say they were total "salesmen" is an understatement. Century Electric always gave us upfront information, no sales tactics like the other guys... Century Electric has been helpful in filling out all the paperwork for our electric company as well as incentives and rebates. Century installed a 5k system on the roof of our new construction. We installed a black metal roof and Aaron was clear to order us all black panels (so they would disappear). The system has been running for 3 months and headed in the right direction for savings. Will DEFINITELY call Century for future solar (and electrical needs).

As a Google local guide I take my reviews extremely serious and feel extreme disappointment that I have to rate this company a one-star but I would actually write them a zero if I could. I gave them a $10,000 check 7 weeks ago and so far I have nothing at all but excuses blaming Ameren and non delivery of materials. I definitely do not have a functioning solar panel system as they said I would 3 weeks ago. I was told that I am difficult to deal with because I am upset that they have my money and instead of a finished and functioning solar panel system I have a bunch of wasted time and who knows if I'll ever get my money back. I wholeheartedly discourage anyone and everyone from doing any business with this organization unfortunately. I will probably have to hire an attorney to get my money back but I will sue them for breach of contract and more. they also made it very clear that they were going to tear up my yard during the install and they didn't care about it getting repaired that it wasn't their problem. Unfortunately I take great pride in my yard and the fact that they were adamant about their desire to tear it up clearly was upsetting. they decided to cancel my project because I was upset and they didn't even bother to tell me so on the day that some materials were allegedly supposed to be delivered when nothing got delivered I texted to inquire and they told me that the project was canceled. That's how they told me. Super Classy! Run for your lives from this organization!
