We were disappointed with the summer camp and were thankful when our 1 week of art camp was over.

The before and aftercare and 1-hour lunch breaks consisted of watching movies. The children were located in a small room with no windows all day. Virtually no adult supervision - when I came in the adult was in the front eating and scrolling on Facebook. No sign in or sign out for security. When I brought these concerns up to management, all we received was feedback on how they were short staffed. The art made for the week was mediocre at best.

We had high hopes given the cost of this camp and the online reviews. I was shocked at the disparity between our experience and these reviews. This disparity prompted me to leave this review to inform other parents. Maybe the shorter classes are better? Either way, I do not recommend Cordovan Woodlands for a full day summer camp and strongly advise against the before and aftercare.

I was registered for a free class with intentions of registering for art classes but the Manager sent me an email with the wrong date in it. I drove 30 minutes and waited for 35 minutes for my free class and no one was at the studio, doors locked. No apology, nothing. Very disappointed.

Ceci and her team at Cordovan Art School have been amazing! My daughter has attended for the past three summers and absolutely loves it. Their talent, patience, and dedication have inspired and nurtured my daughter’s creativity and expression. We absolutely love it here. Miss Lee and Tiffany are just so wonderful and welcoming, all the kids love them and that’s all you need to know.
My son enjoys it so much that he goes twice a week. The kids always do something fun, and it’s just such great place, happy energy and smiling faces. Can’t recommend it enough.

Three of my kids have attended various summer, Thanksgiving, or winter break camps here for the past 4+ years, and one of my children takes weekly classes here. They all have loved the experience. The women who run the place are always friendly and welcoming. They’re patient and upbeat. My kids always look forward to their time here.

Seriously the best art school we’ve ever been too. (Yes we had been to at least 3). Ms. Lee, the manager, is the sweetest and most amazing person- so well organized, accommodating and just wonderful. We have been going to Cordovan Art School for two months and my son loves every class he ever had. Ms. Emily is very good and patient with kids. We just love our Saturday mornings! Can’t wait to do all the camps they have.

My 8 year old really likes going to Cordovan for camp. They have a lot of cute themes that interest her and she feels like she is learning to draw vs just doing crafts. She also likes the teachers and they’ve always been very kind. I appreciate that they have options for both morning, afternoon, and full day camp. There’s a lot of flexibility available depending on what we need. We will probably try classes soon since my daughter seems to be sticking with art as her favorite activity.

Our 7 year old just started. The class he is in is small, so the kids get plenty of attention. They were focused the entire time on their art having lively discussions about art and life in general. It was a very relaxing and calm atmosphere. Exactly what I had hoped for. My son loves the classes and he already asked me if he can go more than once a week 😊. We will definitely be signing him up for summer camp as well. Only critique point is that there's not much space to wait for the kids. But that's a minor thing.
