Came here for a battery change on my watch

The man claimed that a gasket was missing and started adding one without first asking whether I’d like one nor how much it would cost and later charged me $5 more than for just the battery change at the end of all this. He was having trouble fitting it so I even helped him do it as I was happy to support a small business

As a side note, a bag of 72 rubber gasket rings is $7-8

Afterwards he wanted to show me that my watch was made of gold and turned on his buffer/polisher unexpectedly - I was visibly shocked and told him that I would not like a polish

He said don’t worry I just want to show you something. He showed me that the side of my watch is real gold because it shines very easily when he buffs it a little however as soon as I left I found that the dial of my watch now has a few grains of some material that moves around.

My dad gave me this watch 10 years ago and I had been staring at this watch for weeks before this battery change as I ordered a couple new straps and those loose materials were never there. I’m suspecting that the buffing machine shook up this 40 year old watch enough to loosen something up

I wouldn’t have left a review if I didn’t now have some few loose grains of something now very noticeably moving around my watch dial. Otherwise would have been ok with this shop but with that unintentional mistake and repeated actions without my consent - I don’t feel comfortable returning nor recommending

The place smelled and looked like a Netflix show hoarder. Gregory owner should never be doing watch repairs! He lost side of my knob and couldn’t find it out of all the mess he had on the table! I asked if he can write me a note so that I can come back to next day for him to find it and reattach it. He started yelling at me and started being confrontational. I tried to be calming him down and asked him to just replace the knob with the same logo on it. He said he will meet me in court?! Absolutely worst service and unprofessional business. No one should go to his business! Zero stars.

Brought my watch in and he changed the battery in 5 minutes back to new and was very reasonably priced. Definitely would go back again!

It’s a dump but without question the best/cheapest place to get new watch batteries installed. I have been procrastinating but will go in there soon with several watches that, for months, have been mere accessories….

Met with Gregory, the owner, this morning w my older Dad, who was trying to figure out what was going on w his watches. He took the time to explain to us what was going on, and clarified the type of watches they were. Fantastic service, great personality, very reasonable price. He made us laugh! An absolute pleasure. Fast and friendly service. I have gotten my watch fixed, battery replaced and links taken out of several watches. Each time i just walked in and he fixed it on the spot. Watch batteries are $6. He didnt even charge me one time when he took a link out. Really nice guy. Huge selection of watches and clocks too, if you are looking to buy one.

Great experience! I went in to have my watch battery replaced along with changing my watch band. He was quick, did a great job and was at a fair price. He seems like a nice, charming and honest guy with a few funny stories along the way. I will keep him in mind for an all around fix it guy.
