This was my first time recycling, and the process was easy! You start by transferring your recyclables into the provided bright orange baskets. Once you're ready, you hand them over to the staff, who weigh everything for you. Afterward, you sign a receipt and get paid on the spot. It was super quick and straightforward, which I appreciated. One thing to note: they don't accept tin cans.

The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. They helped me and answered all my newbie questions without hesitation.

UPDATE: 3rd time at 3 pm, not busy, friendly, they let you ask price per pound and how much your stuff weighs. The white BIO-K probiotics plastic was bottle HDPE #2. They paid me 5-cents for one piece. * HONEST *

Friendly staff. One person speaks English. You are not rushed to unload your recyclables.

I watched the weights and told them why. I was cheated before somewhere else. They were sympathetic and said it’s easy to get ripped off.

I got the correct amount of money for my cans and plastic. I returned the next day with 35 pounds of glass and was paid the posted price.

The BRUTE gray trash cans are 6 pounds tare weight.

It is behind the Vons, enter off Duarte. Plenty of parking. Not busy between 2-3:30 pm weekdays.

Always use to treat me fairly but the past 2 times I have been there I was underpaid for my cans and bottles. Owner tried to tell me he was deducting 4 pounds for the weight of the bucket but he never did that before and he may be doing this to other customers as well. This guy is dishonest and I would not recommend bringing your recyclables there.

Nothing express about this location. Super slow and unprofessional. The boy working here was using language like ignorance and calling customers stupid. Seems like he’s very uneducated and have a sad life with no other options but to work here. Feel sorry for him.

Great recycler, provided you know their “rules of the system”.
The good: I asked for a manual count of my items. I had 50 or less per material category and was given the full CRV value. This is fully in alignment with the regulations.
The bad: this is not the sort of business that relies on good customer service, but I had a horrible experience. When I arrived, I asked for a manual count. The attendant simply waved his hands towards the baskets and turned away. I was did not want to measure by weight, so I asked again for a manual count. He did not respond or even look up, so I spoke in Spanish. Instead of responding, he turned his back to me and ignored me. During my confusion, another attendee arrived to the center, and he acted like as if he was the manager. He spoke English, and was very nice and explained to me even on manual counts of small quantities they wanted the items in the baskets. Very friendly guy, had no problems once he arrived. The supposedly deaf and mute attendee spoke plenty of Spanish with the manager, about my interaction with him. So he clearly just didn’t want to deal with me.

Much better than the RePlanet. Staffs are friendly. They have baskets for cans and plastic bottles, which I find it more hygienic.

They told me I ahve 2 minutes before closing so I started to separate since I only have a few bags and then after I dumped two bags, they came to tell me they are closed(less than 1 minute later). Though I understand they want to take lunch, they need to take responsibility to keep their words. If they told me they were closed, I would not have dumped the items and just left. I asked for the phone number of corporate and they told me to just look up online - which only had info this location. They were ok before hence the 2 stars.

It was difficult to locate a recycling place in my area after rePlanet ceased operations. My bottles & cans finally have a new home now 😝Express Cross Recycling grand opening on 11/01/2019. Open 7 days a week, 9am to 5pm!!
