Hoaglund & Sons put in a large wide walkway leading from the driveway to our upstairs home addition’s outside stairs. They also put in our retaining wall. Let me tell you, they are lightening fast. Young and older family members do the work and all know what they’re doing. I couldn’t believe how fast it was all completed. Did exactly what we asked and it looks great! I would definitely use them again as well as recommend them to others. I cannot imagine anyone being dissatisfied with this efficient family owned business. Look no further for your concrete work!

Hoaglund and Sons (daughters too) gave me a fair estimate and poured the correct colored concrete. My home is stucco white so they took extra time to prep the areas to ensure they didn’t splash concrete on the side our house. They also used chemical to give us the perfect finish which we wanted. I highly recommend Hoaglund and Sons. Their pricing is competitive, some contractors will be higher, some will cost less, but overall this company is top notch, they are trustworthy and VERY HONEST. 4th generation owned and everyone in the family is involved. We had our handyman recommend Hoagland. We walked our neighborhood and looked at a few driveways they did and they were nice. My neighbor and I both hired them.
The handyman had us pay in advance.

Hint: NEVER do that.

Some very young people came and did our driveway replacement, not sure how experienced they are. Eric Hoagland told me they are his grandkids

The finish work is horrible. Swirly and sloppy. Already cracked and chipping.

Eric came to make it right , but just put some kind of concrete slurry down. When we rinsed the driveway a month later, most of it washed away.

Driveway looks awful. My neighbors looks worse. Eric gave us each a $500 refund when he did the “repairs” to the finishing that washed away.

He came back out and said he would replace the two poorly finished blocks on both driveways. We would then have to give him back the $500 refund. My neighbor and I both agreed.

He said he would come back when he wanted to do this correction. I haven’t heard from him since.

I don’t feel I need to chase him to do what’s right. I said if he fixed my driveway, I would not post a negative review. Since I haven’t heard from him, this is my last resort to get some action.

I really don’t want to waste time in Small Claims Court or file a complaint with the Contractors Licensing Board, but these are my next steps. I spent $3700 on the driveway $3200 ( it’s a ONE CAR DRIVEWAY).after his partial refund and I feel substandard work was done. I have had concrete poured on every one of the homes I’ve owned and this work is sloppy and unprofessional. No one seems to care.
