Called at 10am and someone was here within an hour or so. Had a leak at our mean line outside that was causing a leak in basement. Got us fixed up in 4 hours. Fair price and great work. Highly recommend this company! I believe our tech was Nate.

Guys come out and spent 3 hours charged us $400 to destroy an already faulty bathtub faucet. That's it! Nothing else. Said we'd have to buy a faucet. So I went from a minor hot water leak to no water. My elderly in-laws live here. These guys are not plumbers. Just meth heads with tools.

charged me $500 and spent 4 hrs. cutting a hole in my wall and telling me the cant fix the hot water handle in the shower because its not less than 5 yrs. old and they dont make parts for ones over 5 yrs. old. then told me there were no leaks anywhere and the reason for my fixtures going out was because the coker water dept. must have installed a bad meter recently at my curb.

it was the owners son and his buddy that came out. i caught his buddy under the house on his phone surfing and caught the son in the master bath on his phone several times as well.

they came and wasted time and charged me for it.

this was in the fall of 2022 and paid them and got them out of my house. called the company to complain a few times and nobody ever called back.

i am now searching for a reputable and affordable plumbing company to fix the leak they told me wasnt there.

i had a friend who owns a comercial plumbing co. in bham take a look and he took pics and showed me where the leak in the kitchen had been going on for a few years and how it has damaged the foundation in the process.

he said only an idiot couldve missed it.

dont waste your time or money with this company or banks and quarles. john wayne plumbing is just as sorry as banks and quarles in their own special way!!!!

The guy parks in handicap spots without a decal or a handicap plate.

If he’s willing to inconvenience the disabled to make his life a little bit easier, or not follow the code of law that requires decals, imagine what he’d do with your money or if he’d follow building code.

I really hate sharing bad reviews but this company deserves one. We had used John Wayne for several other repairs and never had an issue. When we needed help replacing our water filter they were the first company I called. So we had the big blue filter that’s shown in the picture below and our only issue was we couldn’t get the housing off to replace the filter inside. We tried everything we could and then eventually cracked the housing so it needed to be replaced. I called John Wayne and said I have a big blue water filter and we need help getting it off so we can replace it. They said they’d need to come out and take a look so I said ok. They came out and said they could get the new part in two days. I could order the same part on amazon and get it in a few days but I figured why not just have them order it and replace it so it all gets taken care of at once. (also note that all of the water in our house runs through this filter so we had to turn off the water and turn it on sporadically to take showers/flush toilets etc and collect the leaking water in tubs). So I don’t hear anything from them on the 2nd day, so I call and ask what’s going on....”oh we’ll call the supplier and find out”. They call the supplier and they promise that it’s “on the truck” and will be here the next day. I don’t hear anything the next day...so I call them again. “Oh let me call the supplier and find out what’s going on”. They call me back and say well I guess it wasn’t in the truck yesterday but they promise it’s there now and we’ll have it tomorrow. Well you can guess what happens, I call them yet again the next day since I haven’t heard from them and they still don’t have the part. I call them again on Friday (note that this started on Monday and we’re still without water) and they said they’d call me back. I call again on Friday and get no answer. We had to leave to go out of town for the weekend and I’m pretty PO’d at this point so I just leave it for Monday. Monday I call them back and they say they’ve finally got the part and they’ll come out and install it. They send some guy out and he installs it while I’m working at home. I take a look and notice that it’s a completely different filter and now they’re charging me for 2 service trips plus this new filter housing and filters. I pay the guy because he has nothing to do with my frustration with this company. I call the office and ask why I’m being charged for a completely different filter that costs $400 (the one we had would’ve cost $65 on amazon). And John Wayne tried to tell me that I told him it was a different filter. YOU HAD SOMEONE COME OUT AND LOOK AT THE FILTER BEFORE IT WAS ORDERED AND CHARGED ME A SERVICE FEE, HOW DID I TELL YOU IT WAS A DIFFERENT FILTER (He also asked why i don’t just order it on amazon, and i said because you said it’d be here in two days so i figured you knew what you were talking about) I was irate, this should’ve cost $200 MAX and now I’m having to pay $700. After a very long argument and him telling me that he’ll be more careful to make sure they discuss ordering different parts with the customer in the future he refunded me one of the service trips...totally stupid company, I would not recommend them because they will rip you off!!! (Just take a look at the filters in the picture and tell me how confusing that looks- ITS A BIG BLUE FILTER!!)

The young guy from Moundville who came to fix my faucet outside,on the day I called , was so nice . He fixed my faucet , got my 2 hose pipes undone that I couldn't turn and put a weather protector on both of them .I very much appreciated the
extra things he did.

Jeff and crew have been awesome to work with. They helped with the gas company that was very difficult, hard to work with and not informative at all. I wouldn’t recommend anyone change from electric to gas. Due to Cspire. But John Wayne plumbing attempted to help deal with them.
