L.A. BUMPER, Mobile Auto Body Repair took care of my me. Chris is very good worker he fixed my hyundai sonata which had dents and scratches. He even loaned me his personal car because I had told him I needed a car as soon as possible because I needed some kind of transportation to get to my job and school. His prices were very reasonable and the lowest among the quotes I have received from other car dent services. He even fixed a scratch I had shown that was not part of the main dents and scratches we had discussed when discussing the price of the service and he fixed it for me with no extra charge. I am very satisfied with the service and will recommend to anyone who has car dents and scratches to go to him. Thank you Chris!

Chris did a great job on my unfortunate bumper ding. I’d never know there was any problem there.

It was about 60% of the price quoted by body shops nearby, and none of the ding repair guys wanted to touch it since it’s a bumper. I guess shops that repair/retouch dings don’t like bumpers? Or they wanted to replace the whole bumper for like $2k…. For a ding. Go figure. One person wanted a $250 deposit before even seeing the car.

Anyway, Chris was reasonable price-wise and a good communicator. Also he just seems like a normal person, which, after many phone calls with local shops and mobile repair dudes was nice to find.

I hope I don’t get into this situation again, but if I do, I’d definitely call him up.

Since my review posted, Chris has contacted me to arrange for a refund which is processing at this time. In the unlikely event that the refund does not successfully process, I will update this review to reflect that. Assuming it does go through, Chris ultimately stands behind the integrity of his business and did reach out and work with me to resolve the issue in a timely manner.

AVOID!!! Chris is a SCAMMER! I hit my bumper on a wooden beam and he was quick to come out and take a look. He insisted I shouldn't go to a mechanic, that they would rip me off, and that my bumper did not need a full replacement and he could re-attach it right then and there. I was desperate to be able to drive my car again and impressed by his willingness to work on my car immediately, so I consented to the repair. HUGE mistake. As soon as I washed my car, water seeped into my headlights and blew out fuses, causing the lights to stop working.

I went to the dealership as well as several mechanics and they all said Chris did a shoddy job re-attaching the bumper and there were problematic gaps all over that allowed water to seep in and damage the electrical wiring inside.They also noted that he yanked out some wires under the bumper and never reconnected them. Don't be fooled by the pictures online, all he does are cosmetic slapdash fixes to make the car *look* like it's been repaired. Not a single mechanic was impressed by his work and many of them even said they didn't feel comfortable working on my car after he had tinkered with it and turned my business away, including the dealership!

On top of that, when the bumper started to come loose and scrape the road, I contacted Chris to ask him to come by and re-attach the bumper. He initially said he'd come by, then stopped responding to texts and calls and blocked my number. Of course, he only accepts payment by Zelle or cash so your transactions will have no guarantee behind them. I'm looking into ways to report him to authorities.

LESSON LEARNED: Do not cheap out on repairing your car the right way with people who actually know what they're doing. Take your car to a proper mechanic in the first place, and get a real repair by a qualified technician. Chris is as unethical as they come. I learned my mistake the hard way and am out $1k+ because of it.
