It's not a park to make a destination trip for but could definitely hit 3 in one day.
It is a very beautiful drive up to the park especially during the fall. ?
The road stops where the trail starts. The whole trail is handicap accessible because it is on a pier type build. There are plaques along the trail that dive into the history behind this specific park and the animals that inhabit the area. At the turn around point is where you finally lay eyes upon the original monument the park is known for.

Quiet and just a nice place to spend some time outside. The swamp is gorgeous and eerie. There is a pit toilet if you really need it; it was in decent shape and was stocked with toilet paper and seemed to be cleaned regularly. The boardwalk is well-maintained. If you are lucky you may see some wildlife. If you are coming for your park stamp, this one is has a station where you can do a rubbing, so bring something to do that with (we had a highlighter and a sharpie in the car that sorta-worked).

Stopped out to take the dog for a walk. We had the place to ourselves. The water level was done, but it was still worth stopping out to see.

I haven't been in 20 yrs+. There is a restroom and picknick table at the end of the rood where the trail starts to the marker, take a good set of walking shoes for the long walk to the marker..

Good place to bond with nature. It’s a swampy area with trail bridge. Bathrooms are available.

This is a nice little park to stop and stretch. The history is very interesting about the Louisiana Purchase.

It's small, but a very cool little park. Informative and very beautiful (if you like a swampy kind of place) Water was down when we were there (so we were told)
Quick, short walk is easy and quite enjoyable if you don't count the mosquitos. The millions of mosquitos. Well, they didn't bother me, but they sure loved my wife. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area.

Beautiful calm spot. I was expecting it to be very buggy and warm, but it was lovely. (Early June). Pit bathroom was very clean and easily accessible. I did have my own wipes for hand washing.
