Great, we were seen in a timely manner and given a good exam and listened to appropriately. He gave us both medicine for bronchitis resulting from viral infection. Tested for flu and Covid. Negative. I was relieved and starting to get better. It's my go to place if I get sick on the weekend or evening. Thankful.

Well, unfortunately once again, I’m disappointed with the medical community. It’s unfortunate that it’s just a business how quickly can we herd the patients in and out it’s not about trying to help people have wellness in their life. I was basically just given a Band-Aid a temporary relief instead of an address to the root problem, or even any kind of guidance on how to manage the chronic pain that I have. I think he was way more interested in having lunch with his staff then he was assisting me with anything.. I hope one day we can have functional integrative medicine at the forefront.

Took my 11 year old daughter to the express care in Hewitt where she was diagnosed with strep throat. Michael Fichter was efficient, forthright and knowledgeable. Will make future appointments with him when possible.

I felt like he was rushing even though there were nobody else waiting. A bit arrogant, borderline disrespectful towards me. He asked me a question about my son, and I wasn’t totally sure about the answer so he cut me off and after that he ignored me and engaged his questions with my wife. Not knowing that my wife main language is Spanish.
He needs to work on his patience and social skills.

Strep test came back negative. He said may have been in first 24 hours so could have been false negative. Instead of looking at my symptoms and prescribing something, he sent me on my way with directions for over the counter meds for comfort. Symptoms steadily got worst, so had to do a second copay and appointment to get prescription for guess what, strep! He was very nice, just wish outcome was different.

AWESOME everyone was EXTREMELY nice. Dr. Fichter explained what he was going to do and why he was going to do and that made me feel more at ease. And I was only there less than an hour!

Michael Fichter, PA-C misdiagnosed my Influenza A, mistreated me with steroids that are contraindicated for other conditions that I have (and are noted in my chart), dismissed my pain and symptoms, rushed my visit, released me to work with medically fragile children, and blatantly disregarded HIPAA laws by loudly discussing patient names and diagnoses (I heard the full name and test results of a person identified by Michael Fichter, PA-C as a minor even though I was behind closed doors) during a 45 minutes visit I made to the Woodway Expresscare on Thursday, 11/10. It is currently Saturday, 11/12 and I have tested positive for Influenza A at another clinic as well as my two year old son. I have had to notify families of immunocompromised and medically fragile children that I could have given them a life-threatening infection due to this man’s actions. I currently have a 104 fever and flu medication is not working because Michael Fichter, PA-C assured me that I would be better in 3-4 days (flu medication is only effective within the first 48 hours) and I foolishly trusted his expertise. I encourage anyone who receives this provider to strongly consider requesting a new one and learn from my mistake.
