UPDATE 9/10/24. STAY AWAY!! They stopped returning my calls. They replaced the furnace(that they messed up) and didn’t recharge the refrigerant. I had to pay $800 to another HVAC company to fix it property. Last month, we also had to make another tech repair ($220) because the gas line to the furnace was only hand tight. I’m going to sue and report them to the state license board. STAY AWAY
Not fixed yet, but on the way. I’ve had a broken issue with my HVAC unit for 10 months. Thankfully, monarch WAS working with me to resolve the problems caused by improper diagnosis.

They were very knowledgeable, answered all the questions I had and were very hard working. They showed me pictures and videos of the work they did on the furnace in the attic and cleaned up after themselves when finished. Also replaced the fire alarms and made sure they worked. Excellent service

Service technician was very polite and professional. Did the diagnostics of the system issue, easy to talk to. I enjoyed working with him. I used Smart 72 before but from the reviews on here it looks like this company bought them out.

They could not provide me a cost for the repalcement ECM at time of the technicians visit that would come from another person within 24-hrs. Got quoted $2600 for a replacement motor and installation. Original motor was found from furnace manufacture for $400 with 4 year warranty, so was looking at $2200 for a installation, way to high for my pockets, but I wanted to try them out since my previous vendor is no longer in service. The profit margin is just way to high, I had the need for the repair but luckily its early in the winter and have another tech lined up from local vendor as a fraction of the cost.

They provide aggressive sales pitch for upgrades they see may be needed. The duct work at my unit is the original from purchase of home with the second 3-ton unit, if i re-did my duct work at $8,800 they would do the blower motor at no cost, my request for service turned into a system overhaul estimate / sale pitch with a diagnostic but no repair.

Disappointed, not what you expect when you call for service and repair a quote for $2,600 i can buy the same Rheem Upright 3-ton heater direct from vendor for $3,300 before installation.

They were willing to beat any other quote for a mini split system by $500 and they installed it just two days after giving us the quote. Our house went from 61° to 75° in just a short time and it works really well. Couldn’t be more pleased!

Rude, unprofessional phone manner, hung up twice. The company CEO has a fiduciary duty to honor it's path of office, but does not. It's a wonder they have a license. Customer beware!

We were called when the tech was running late which we appreciated. Two techs did a wonderful, complete check of our heating system and knowing I was interested in surge protectors from past visits gave me some options which I took them up on. I am very pleased with their service.

As a follow-up, my original review was for a tech from the previous company. Monarch bought them out or took over somehow, and on a subsequent visit, with techs I had never seen before, I was subjected to a hard sell. The techs were here for quite a while and after their analysis, said they had to consult with someone in the office, which they did from their van. They stayed around until this person arrived then disappeared without any handover. Apparently everything this second guy needed was online He then began his hard sell, trying to get me to commit to an expensive and messy "correction". I later found the exact same scenario listed on other sites by other customers. Interesting how we all have exactly the same "problem". Because of this my original five star review has now dropped to one.

This was a routine inspection and service that also identified a problem that needs to be resolved. Smart72 will be returning in a couple of weeks to resolve that problem. I’ve been a Smart72 customer for the past 6 years and have always been pleased with their work.

My problem was related to high static pressures. The team identified the source of the problem and ended up installing 4 new 14x6 vents and the associated duct work. The work was started and completed the next day. Static pressures are now well within spec.

The Smart 72 crew was professional, informative, and very helpful. They were recommended through Home Depot and did a great job with a difficult installation of my new hot water heater. I received courteous service from everyone - including the person who wrote the quote, the people at the scheduling and billing departments, and of course, the installers.
