Fernando is a godsend. Every step of my repair was handled with a ton of care and even after there was some issues after the initial repair they took my car back and fixed it super fast. This place does everything including good customer service. This is truly a one-stop shop.

I went to North Bay Automotive in desperation and not so great financial circumstances. They were beyond kind and understanding. I was and still am humbled by just how much compassion they showed me. I was taken care of with nothing more than handshake as initial payment and I got my car fixed and was on my way. I will always come back here for everything car related. One of the worst mechanics ive ever been to truly regret ever doing business with him. Took a car to him with check engine light on. Got it back and check engine light came back on after 24 hours. Said he wanted more money to fix it when its why i brought the car in in the first place. Be very careful with this shop they dont care about you

Shop is super clean and well kept.
The customer service is on point. Super nice and helpful.
Does his best to give you the best price possible.
Doesn’t beat you up on getting other things done but will point things out for you to watch for.
This is the type of shop I can proudly stand behind. Thank you for the work you did.

My Jeep broke down literally across the street from this business. They saved me from a tight spot, gave me a great deal and were so honest.

First, Rey came right over to give me a jump so I could get my car out of the business entrance I was blocking and limp over to their garage.

He immediately diagnosed the faulty alternator and possible battery issues.

It just so happens i only *look* like a clueless millenial chick, but really I've been learning to work on my own classic car project truck for the last 2 years, so I fully understood the problem and cost to fix. What they ended up charging me was barely what it would have cost me to go buy the new alternator and battery at retail prices and replace them myself.

Then, when I went to go pick it up, the owner Fernando texts me, "Oh, by the way, you didn't need a new battery after all, so please get your refund when you pick up."

So honest!! I'm so impressed. Even though I can do a lot of things myself, I'm going to take the Jeep back to these guys if it needs anything because it's that good of a deal. I highly recommend them to anyone, but especially other women who might feel uncomfortable at car repair places. All the stars.

Originally used his shop because my car broke down was emergency. Seemed ok at first but noticed he asked for a lot of extra charges after the work was done. Ended up making the mistake of buying a car from him. Payed 2800 for it but when i went to register it car started smoking and paperwork was no good. He asked for 400$ more to have “his guy” register it. I payed it to speed things up and make it simple but 3 months later he didnt get it registered and kept saying it would be ready soon. Finally i couldnt wait any more so i asked for money back which took him weeks to agree to pay. Eventually he gave me 2 checks and both the checks bounced. He said it was my fault for cashing them at the same time but he never said that or to space them out or how long to space them or why. Now same thing again keeps saying how he will have my money by this day and that day but when that day comes around he says he doesnt have it and extends the date. Says its not easy running a business and money is tight and work is slow etc. I now have to go to small claims court. The whole experience is a nightmare for me highly recommend not using this mechanic if you can help it.

North Bay Automotive is fantastic!
Not only we're they honest with me, their prices are a little lower and so far I've had my Oil changed there twice (cheapest deal in Marin), I just had a new Radiator put in. They searched for the cheapest, without an obscene mark-up.
I'm originally from NYC, so this review could have gone either way.
You won't regret giving them a shot.
