This review is a mixed bag. I've used Ray Lusk Plumbing for 2 separate water line repairs (2 different houses). Both times the scheduling was easy & the ladies I spoke with were very courteous. In 2022, they got right out & everything was perfect. They located the damaged line underground, made repairs, and were on their way for less than $400 total! On the most recent (Oct. 2024) they were able to move my appointment forward by 1 day which was great. The technicians that arrived were kind and professional. My reduction of stars comes from the transparency of pricing and the experience that followed. On their website it says "$299 leak detection special" That is misleading as it is $299 for first hour then $175 per hour after that, which does not include the actual repair... As it shouldn't and I would not expect it to. What I would expect is that if there is an error in locating the leak that extends the time drastically that time should not be on the homeowner. For example: When locating our leak, they probed for gas all around the property multiple times only to find that the gas was not turned on and pressurizing the line. That led to the first hour being gone with 0% chance of finding it due to an error. Then after that they fish taped the line and dug two separate holes where they thought the leak was only to find it wasn't there. After going back to the gas and drilling holes along water line route they got a hit on the gas & dug down. No leak and by this time it was 4:30pm so it was time to go home. They then told me I owed $999 dollars (5 hours) for the leak detection, and it had to be paid same day and that the hourly rate would pick back up whenever they could fit us back in. Stated I should expect a call from their office first thing in the morning. Water was turned back on and before I could verify everything was working, they were wheels up. Again, I understand the quick exit as OT is expensive these days and I do not put that on the technicians. But to be $1000 dollars lighter and in the same boat was a little jarring. The next morning came and went with no call, again no biggie as people get busy, so I called in around 10am and again spoke to a very pleasant lady who stated she would try to get them out asap, but just in case she scheduled me for first available. I brought up my concerns with the cost and time it took to locate (which was still not fully complete) and she stated she would pass it along to the service manager. They were able to get out same day and the leak was easy to find as the hole that was left open was full of water and it was easy to see where the leak was as the water was flowing and it was just outside of the hole dug. Fast forward an hour or so and the leak was repaired. For an additional $475. This was higher than the previous repair amount by $135, the repair increase is understandable with inflation, so I expected it to be around 25% more. They replaced a 1' section of PVC to repair a radial crack around a joint. I was happy with the repair and was told that I would receive communication on any adjustments to the cost for the locating. They stated there was no additional cost today for "locating" the leak per their manager, which I would hope not as the leak was essentially already located just at the edge of the third and final hole. I thanked the 2 gentlemen and paid them in full, as I know that anything with payment is not on them so did not want to stress them out concerning the matter. Again, I am happy with the repair and the scheduling. Just wish there was more transparency on the pricing as well as some commonsense adjustments made due to errors that were made that led to a doubling of the time to locate. Fast forward over 1 week and no call from the service manager and both of the checks totaling $1474 have cleared. If the 2.5 hours of misplaced time during locating the leak were adjusted, we would be at $1036.50 total. I would use Ray Lusk plumbing again, but next time would thoroughly discuss pricing as this instance was drastically different than before.

I had a great experience with Ray Lusk plumbing. Who send one of his experience workers to fixed my plumbing issues related to my washing machine, kitchen sinks, upstairs and downstairs toilets, shower, and a bathtub, and drainage problem. He was very professional, and I could tell he knew what he was doing. And it didn't take him a long time to unclog all of those plumbings in one day less than 2 hours. He also left everything working in perfect working condition and I am very satisfied with using Ray Lusk plumbing. I highly recommend if anyone needs any plumbing done for their house or business these guys know exactly what they're doing. Thank you so much for unstopping my plumbing.

I had an awful experience with this company. I have a home with two full baths, one of which had a slow draining bathtub and a toilet that wasn't flushing well. I called Ray Lusk Plumbing to come out and clear the line. The plumber they sent used a plunger to try to clear the clogged line but was unsuccessful. He pulled the toilet in the affected bathroom and ran a scope down to see if he could find the clog. He then brought a large cable rooter machine in the house and ran that down the pipe and managed to push the clog further toward the septic tank but did not clear the clog. So, instead of having a slow draining bathtub and a toilet that didn't flush well, I now had a completely clogged sewage line. Not only that, but when he backed the rooter out of the pipe, he managed to splatter raw sewage all over the floor and walls in the bathroom. Why he didn't put any type of barrier up before he pulled a spinning blade covered in sewage up into the house is beyond my comprehension. He had to know it was going to make a giant mess. He had absolutely nothing with him to clean up the mess, and since I was still in the process of moving in, all I had were some paper towels, alcohol, and Clorox wipes. He did not apologize for the giant mess or for making the problem 100 times worse than it was when he started. He somewhat cleaned up his mess and left after telling me he would have to send a crew back out a to dig up the sewage line and put in a clean-out for the septic tank. The estimate for that job was $3,000 and, oh, by the way, "we can't get to it right away." So I was going to have to go several days without being able to flush either toilet, take a shower, run the dishwasher or washing machine, or run water in any of the sinks in the house. After I told my brother about this giant fiasco and how much it was going to cost to fix, my brother told me to cancel the follow-up appointment and that if he had to work all night, he would get the line cleared himself. He pulled the toilet in the other bathroom and managed to get the line cleared. I wish I had called him in the first place. Even though he's not a plumber, he sure did a heck of a lot better job than the one Ray Lusk Plumbing sent out and didn't make a giant mess of the job either!

Really helpful. Had a weekend emergency and they came out on a Saturday evening and went above and beyond to fix the issue and restore water. Don could not have been more kind and informative. Price was very reasonable for the job they did. Highly recommend!!

I had a leak somewhere in my kitchen. I had 2 other workers come to my house and leave not knowing what is causing the leak. Then, I call Ray Lusk, and they sent someone right away. The technician found the leak and fixed it fast. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Will use again!

Quoted us ~5x (nearly $2000) what someone else quoted us for a fridge water line run that was ultimately less than 5ft. The guy wanted to cut the drywall in two spots other than the spot for the ice maker valve box, and wanted to run the line through the attic from the water heater's feed line to the fridge location. He didn't even bother checking the crawlspace to see where he could maybe tap in, he only went into the attic. I made sure to tell him how to get in the crawlspace as well. The other company only cut drywall for the ice maker valve box, no other spots, and went down into the crawlspace where all the other water lines were and tied into one directly below the wall. Not doing less than 3 stars since they didn't do any work and the guy was nice enough to show me how to turn on my water heater, but it definitely seemed like he either just didn't want to go under the house, or that he gave me a high quote either because he figured I wouldn't know better or he didn't want to do that job for some reason.

They are prompt and polite and seemed to do a good job with my request for a sewer line clean out on rental property. My only issue is that if additional work needs to be done that will incur additional charges (double the initial estimate) that I would be notified and my consent given for the additional work prior to it being done. I just think that is a good business practice.

My plumber arrived on time and made sure everything was working correctly. He fixed what someone else did wrong. He was knowledgeable and professional. I wanted this working correctly so that when I go to sell my home, it will be done the way it should be. Great Job Ray Lusk Plumbing.
