The Ship Signature Wall at the Railroad Dock looked like graffiti at first. It is graffiti of a sort. On their first visit to Skagway, ship's crews were allowed to paint their cruise ship's logo on this wall of rock. Most of the easily available space is now taken, and after the rock slides, the area is restricted. There once was a paved dock area where people could walk, but that practice has been discontinued after a cruise liner was struck with falling rock. The rock slide area is very visible just to the left of the Signature Wall.
Today's cruise ships still dock there, but passengers now disembark from the other side and by ship tender. Out of service train cars now are parked against the wall.

Are you kidding?!!!!!! It is trashy and looks like a gang-night of graffiti. I thought it was trash until I received this request for a review. Unbelievable.

Very interesting to see all the paintings, though very few details were provided. We came in Sept 23 and the walk was closed unless your boat was in that dock, due to the risk of rock fall
