I talked to several different companies before choosing to work with Sunlight Electrical. What I liked about them was their transparency through the process and flexibility in working with my family to ensure our system was scoped correctly and turned on before the beginning of 2025. It took the team two days to get the actual installation done. Overall, I am happy with their work and excited about the savings I will start seeing on my electrical bill.

Really, a different level company. We had a one year project with many ins and outs. Juan (co-owner) is one of the most responsive and transparent contractors I’ve ever worked with. Beautiful craftsmanship in their work - advice, electrical, panels, solar install roof work - with bonded, licensed workers. I’d use Sunlight again for any service they offer.

An absolute joy to work with Juan and team @Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions. Crew very professional. Custom design for our house. Installation took less than 2 days. One day for 17 panels, 2 story unfriendly roof line, second day battery, aGate, sub-panel etc. generating power late afternoon, third day passed inspection. Took about a week and a half to get SNEM Paired Storage System PG&E approval (we can now upload extra power back to the grid and get (small...) credit). Still waiting for permanent storage battery rebate to clear but cautiously optimistic. We absolutely recommend this company. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Guided by CALIFORNIA SOLAR CONSUMER PROTECTION GUIDE, we selected five solar companies to compare their design proposals and service qualities. Out of all five, two companies sent staff to our home for in-person measurement, including Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions (SECS). The other three companies required us to sign a contract before coming in-person. Also, only SECS came to discuss the design proposals in person. SECS’s Co-owner Juan presented to us all design options, product and warranty info, and their past experiences with well-known products in the market. Also, he explained the reason why micro-inverters work more efficiently than a single inverter, which has lower energy output, high failure rate, and more susceptible to heat stress. We trust that Juan offered the best designs and product choices to meet our home’s current and future needs.

Our solar and battery system has been up running for a few weeks. Everything works well. The system already sustained us during an unplanned power outage under PG&E. Everyday, we use the phone apps to monitor the panels and battery. We can see that our solar panels charge the battery fully and cover about 97% of our electricity usage. The extra energy now feeds back to the grid, but will charge our EV in the future. We really appreciate the team at Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions for completing the installation within two days, arriving early to prepare and pass the city’s inspection without issues, finishing up all paperwork for product warranties and Permission-To-Operation Interconnection application, and responding to our questions and requests timely.

Juan is extremely helpful and responsive. I had my solar system installed early January 2024 and had a couple of power grid related issues. Juan was there not only to there for the deal/initial sell but also helping solve maintenance issues with the same attentiveness and support 5 months after the system was up and running. I would highly recommend them since his team handles the warranty and the install. We found other quotes initially that were less but I would definitely recommend going with these guys. They are worth it!
