Updated review: Okay … I’m all about giving credit where credit is due! I had the worst experience with MID multiple times this past summer. However, I’ve been working with them recently and they’ve been working with me! They’re so much kinder, understanding and helpful. Which goes A LONG WAYS when you’re in a bad spot. I really appreciate the change! I hope it continues! The people have been wonderful. I upped from 1 to 3 stars based on the fact nobody should have to pay that much for electricity. It’s not the employees fault though. 5 stars for employee service in recent months! Still 1 star for companies being greedy.

Past review: Heartless. They are not kind. They don’t want to work with you half the time. It’s horrible. If your electricity gets shut off you’re screwed! They won’t do anything to help you. Only make it harder to get on! MID— do you see your rating? I know you don’t care but 1.7!? That’s horrendous! DO SOMETHING!

They require a security deposit from everybody who wants service, they don’t want to give it back to you. You have to fill out request forms and everything else to get your security deposit back. I want my security deposit back with interest. Why do they make it so hard to get your money back? I don’t understand. Pg&E doesn’t treat you this way.. Their customer service is extremely rude. Their prices are extremely high, but what choices do we have? zero! So they don’t care about their customers all they do is price gouging raise their rates whenever they want to and they have no competition. I’m notifying the Better Business Bureau about this and file a formal complaint. The way they operate their business is criminal and I see a class action lawsuit in their future.

Why do they treat their customers like criminals? I’m trying to establish an account to put electricity under my name at a house I moved into and they keep asking me who was the last tenant how many family people are moving in where do you work at? I don’t understand. Why do I have to pay the last person‘s bill ? then they said we need min $200 deposit they want my Social Security number, they want two forms of ID, I’m like what is all this about? Pg&E doesn’t treat you like this!!! they said no ! We are MID !

While they are way overpriced especially after 500kwh in the summer time their staff is as polite and helpful as is possible while having to work for a money sucking vampire company and all the while being bombarded with upset consumers who have no choice but to either pay high rates or move out to Wyoming to be able to afford power.
Congrats to the employees for trying there best.
Shame on the owners for jacking people like it's New Jack City.

Mid is now under investigation. They are robbing the public of their hard earned money. Please establish a payment arrangement for customers struggling to pay their mid bill. Why aren't you letting customers have a payment arrangement? It's on your website? Get it together people!! Updated review, thank you mid for helping me during this unpredictable time with the state of our economy. Mid is working with me and I appreciate your help and kindness!

Typical good ol boys on the board…our bill this month is $750.00…..how are people supposed to pay these high rates when the keep the temperature down and close off rooms? Time to check into solar and dump mid….all they do is raise rates with no consideration for the rotten economy we are in
